Could Marvin Harrison Jr.'s Skipping Combine and Pro Day Make Him Fall to the Chargers?

Marvin Harrison Jr. has been projected to be taken by many teams, but his latest move could see him fall to the Chargers.

One of the most exciting WR targets in the 2024 NFL Draft is Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. Much like his father, Harrison Jr. is a tough and speedy receiver who would provide an instant weapon to whatever offense he lands with.

Many mock drafts have him landing with the Arizona Cardinals at #4 overall, but there are many QB-needy teams. Many believe that the Vikings could trade up to #4 or #5 with the Los Angeles Chargers to land a QB like J.J. McCarthy.

Should they trade up to #4 with the Cardinals, Harrison Jr. could fall right into place for the Chargers. However, another move might already be aiding in his falling down the draft board a bit.

Harrison Jr. not only skipped the NFL Combine, but he also skipped Ohio State's Pro Day. While these days are not mandatory for players, it also aids in telling coaches what kind of personality they have.

Harrison Jr. could be seen as a "diva" after skipping out on both days. This is just one of the narratives that could be devised with this move by the young WR.

Another narrative is that he could be hiding some sort of physical ailment that has not yet been revealed by the college and Harrison Jr.

Either way, his skipping the Combine and Pro Day could lead to many teams being wary of wanting to draft him so high with their first-round pick selections. Again, these are just speculative narratives that can be built from these moves.

We fully believe that Harrison Jr. will still be a very high first-round pick, but he could fall to the Chargers if the Cardinals view his not working out at the Combine and Pro Day as problematic.
