Bills Host Chargers Ex Sebastian Joseph-Day For Free Agency Visit

With holes on the defensive front, the Buffalo Bills could look to bring in former Super Bowl champion Sebastian Joseph-Day.

The Buffalo Bills hosted former Super Bowl champion defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day for a free agency visit on Friday, per ESPN's Field Yates.

Joseph-Day, who turns 29 on Thursday, was a sixth-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2018 NFL Draft. He did not play as a rookie, but became a key part of the defense soon after as he started 38 games over the next three season.

The Rutgers product missed most of the 2021 season with a torn pectoral, but came back just in time to be active for Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals. Although he was held off the stat sheet in that game, he still earned his ring as a key member of the Rams' defense.

That wound up being Joseph-Day's final game in a Rams uniform, as during the following offseason, he signed a three-year, $24 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. He started all 30 games he played for the Chargers, but was cut in December after the team's elimination from playoff contention.

It didn't take long to land on his feet, though, as he signed with the San Francisco 49ers just a few days later. He was a rotational player on the 49ers' stacked defensive line, although he did help San Francisco make another Super Bowl appearance.

Throughout his NFL career, Joseph-Day has recorded 229 total tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. With the Bills having noticeable holes on the defensive line, Joseph-Day could be a solid addition if they can seal the deal.
