Bills Ex Nathan Peterman Signs With Saints

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman is still hanging around as a backup.

Believe it or not, former Buffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman is indeed still hanging on in the NFL.

On Monday, the New Orleans Saints announced that they had agreed to terms with Peterman on a one-year deal. With four quarterbacks now on the roster, Peterman will likely have to battle it out to secure his roster spot for the season.

Peterman, 29, was a fifth-round pick by the Bills in 2017. During his rookie season, he was thrust into the starting role for a Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers after Buffalo benched Tyrod Taylor, where he infamously threw five interceptions in the first half as Taylor re-took the starting job in the second half.

Peterman would hang around for another season with the Bills, seeing action in eight games across two seasons. Throughout his time in Buffalo, the Pittsburgh product completed 52.3 percent of his passes for 548 yards with three touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

After leaving the Bills, Peterman spent two years each with the Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago Bears. He appeared in seven games across both teams, with his lone start coming for the Bears in a 2022 Week 18 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
