It's no secret that Oklahoma State returning their entire starting offense is going to create a huge advantage for them in the new-look Big 12 during the 2024 college football season. Of the offense, returning Ollie Gordon is easily the Cowboys' biggest victory. It might also just be the biggest victory among all returning running backs across the country.

PFF announced their 2024 All-Returning Team on the offensive side of the ball. The featured running back on the list? Ollie Gordon II.

The Oklahoma State superstar finished No. 7 in Heisman voting, the highest among all running backs. He was the Doak Walker award winner -- proving his status as the nation's top running back.

In 14 games, Gordon posted 1,732 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on 285 carries. He added 330 receiving yards and a touchdown in the air, too. Statistically, Gordon had an incredible season, and he would have eclipsed 2,000 rushing yards had he been featured as the premier back in the team's first three matchups of the season.

The 2024 college football season provides the running back a shot at rushing for 2,000 yards and to further climb the Heisman voting. His entire starting offensive line is returning, they've got more depth at the position and there will be consistency under center and with the receiving corps.

It's no shock at all that Gordon is the best returning back in the nation. He was the best at his position statistically and with the major awards, and he'll again be the headline of a Cowboys offense that should improve on last season.

Still, the Cowboys' offense doesn't project to be incredible, but it'll be good. Gordon will still shoulder a heavy load in Kasey Dunn's offense as the team will be good enough to compete for a Big 12 title, though a spot in the title game won't come easy.
