2018 Ironman World Championship

Sports Illustrated captured the 40th Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, on Oct. 13, which saw the defending champions win again. Daniela Ryf, 31, of Rumisberg, Switzerland, lowered her course record to 8:26:18. Patrick Lange, 32, of Bad Wildungen, Germany, won the men's race in 7:52:39, becoming the first person ever to finish in under eight hours.
