Which Draft Picks the Jaguars Hold Ahead of Free Agency

With the compensatory draft picks now official, how many picks do the Jaguars have?

With the compensatory picks for the 2024 NFL Draft now official, the Jacksonville Jaguars know exactly what kind of draft ammo they hold entering free agency.

As things stand today, the Jaguars have nine picks:

  • No. 17 (1st)
  • No. 48 (2nd)
  • No. 96 (3rd, comp)
  • No. 113 (4th)
  • No. 115 (4th)
  • No. 152 (5th)
  • No. 192 (6th)
  • No. 212 (6th, comp)
  • No. 236 (7th)

The No. 79 pick in the third round was originally supposed to be Jacksonville's, but conditional trade terms dictate the pick heads to the Atlanta Falcons as a part of the Calvin Ridley trade.

If the Jaguars sign Ridley to a contract extension ahead of March 13, they would send the No. 48 pick to the Falcons and keep the No. 79 pick.

"Well, we’re not real concerned with that, whether it’s a second or third round. We’re just going to work with the player and see if we can come to an agreement whether that’s before that compensation changes or not, that remains to be the same. We’re more focused on the player," Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke said at last week's NFL Scouting Combine.

The Jaguars received two compensatory picks this week, snapping a 13-year streak in which the franchise didn't receive any compensatory draft picks. The Jaguars received the highest compensatory pick in the entire league after Jawaan Taylor signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. Meanwhile, the Jaguars also earned a sixth-round compensatory pick after losing Arden Key to the Tennessee Titans last offseason.
