The Cleveland Browns updated their list of players who would not be playing today in Kansas City for the team's final preseason game. The team had announced a list of injured players that weren't expected to play last night as well. Today's version had a few interesting names added.

The team added wide receiver Jaelon Darden and cornerbacks Mike Ford Jr. and Cameron Mitchell to the list. Perhaps these guys were game time decisions as they have all recently dealt with injury issues. All three though were practicing this week and had been anticipated to play.

Darden has been attempting to come back from a hamstring injury suffered early in training camp. He will not play in any of the preseason games and will most certainly be part of the roster cuts that are required by 4 pm on Tuesday.

Ford and Mitchell each suffered what was reported as a shoulder injury during the third preseason game against the Eagles. Mitchell practiced with a harness all week as a result and it was assumed that he would play today. All three players are guys that the team would want to keep around for the season.

I wonder if they will be part of the roster gymnastics that teams are forced to play to protect players from waiver claims. We should find out soon enough from the team as news of roster cuts could start trickling out tomorrow.
