Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns Prediction for NFL Week 11

If you’re a fan of hard-hitting, low-scoring, gritty football, you’re going to be a fan of this matchup on Sunday. These two AFC North teams meet for a second time this year with a lot on the line. They both sit at 6-3 and with a Steelers win they can either hold their second-place spot in the division or gain the division lead if the Ravens lose as well. If Cleveland wins they can secure the second-place spot in the division. Usually, as the season goes on and the stakes are raised they tend to be low-scoring and tight games, and that's what our experts believe you will see on Sunday.

Our Steelers vs. Browns prediction loves the under 33 points. This is a remarkably low total for an NFL game but there are a lot of key factors for why that is. One of those reasons is that both teams are extremely run-heavy on the offensive side of the ball. With more running plays that means fewer passes, with fewer passes means fewer incompletions, and less incompletions means that the clock will not stop as much. This should lead to a very quick ball game and leave less time for either of these teams to score.

Speaking of scoring, last time the Steelers faced this number one Browns defense they struggled mightily on the offensive side of the ball. The Steelers ended up winning 26-22 last time but 14 of those points came from the defensive side of the ball, it will be very tough and unlikely for the Steelers defense to do this again. As for Kenny Pickett, he hasn’t exactly lit up the stat sheet all year, don’t expect him to do it this week when facing Myles Garrett and the rest of the Browns defense.

People may look at the 26-22 final score from the contest earlier this year and wonder why our Steelers vs. Browns prediction is under 33 points. Well the reason for that, on top of the reasons already highlighted, is because the Browns Franchise quarterback, Deshaun Watson, is done for the year. Regardless of being a run-first team the Browns still relied on Watson heavily to make plays and help the offense into the end zone. Without Watson under center, the Browns offense could look very mundane this Sunday.

Steelers vs. Browns Player Prop Picks & Best Bets Including T.J. Watt and Amari Cooper

If you have been following our prop bets this year you’ll know we almost always take T.J. Watt to record a sack, we did it last week and it hit. And guess what? Our Steelers vs. Browns prediction has T.J. Watt recording another sack this weekend. He currently sits at 10.5 sacks on the year, only 0.5 sack away from second place league- wide behind Cleveland Brown Myles Garrett. Watt is simply a sack machine and one of the best defensive players in the NFL, bet on him to record another sack this weekend at Bet365 Sportsbook.

Another player prop our experts will be wagering on this weekend is Amari Cooper under 46.5 receiving yards. One of the reasons we like the under here is because of the injury to Deshaun Watson. Having a backup quarterback throw the football in a run-heavy offense is not going to help the stat sheet for a wideout. Another huge factor that went into this selection is Joey Porter Jr. This rookie cornerback out of Penn St. has been shutting down every receiver he covers all year. When quarterbacks are targeting Porter Jr. they are collectively 7/23, 65 yards, 0 TDs, and an INT. Look for him to keep it up this weekend and shut down Cooper.

Browns QB Options: Deshaun Watson Out for the Season

Deshaun Watson has been ruled out for the year, but this will not be the first time the Cleveland Browns have played without him. Earlier in the year they turned to both of their quarterbacks, rookie Dorian-Thompson Robinson out of UCLA and former XFL player P.J. Walker. Despite Walker playing in a total of four games and starting three the Browns are still electing to go with Robinson as their starter this weekend vs the Steelers.

It is an interesting decision to throw the less experienced rookie quarterback against a Mike Tomlin coached team rather than going with the more experienced option. Our experts don’t believe this will cost them the victory necessarily but it definitely played a role in our Steelers vs. Browns prediction because Robinson will not be lighting up the stat sheet. The only game time he saw this year was against another division foe where the Browns lost 28-3 and Robinson went 19/32 for 121 yards.
