When Is the Washington Nationals World Series Championship Parade?

The Washington Nationals World Series parade is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. after they won their first title in franchise history on Wednesday.

According to an announcement from D.C. mayor Muriel Bowser, the parade will begin on Constitution Avenue NW at 15th Street NW and proceed eastward along Constitution Avenue NW, finishing on Pennsylvania Avenue NW at 3rd Street NW. At the end of the parade, there will be a team rally.

The Nationals defeated the Astros 6-2 in Game 7. Washington's title-winning rally was capped by Howie Kendrick's two-run homer off the foul pole in right field in the seventh inning.

It was the first World Series in baseball history in which visiting teams won all seven games, and the first championship in any major sport where the winner won all four games on the road.
