Aaron Rodgers’s Wish to Be Paired With Viral Sensation Hosung Choi Granted
The biggest attraction at this week’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am may not be All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but his partner Hosung Choi.
Choi’s expressive style of play has earned him worldwide admiration, even though he has never played on the PGA Tour before.
But that will change this week when Choi makes his PGA debut at Pebble. Tour officials confirmed last month that Choi would be in the field and Rodgers immediately started angling to be grouped with the 45-year-old South Korean.
When tee times were announced Tuesday night, Rodgers got his wish. He and partner Jerry Kelly (a big Packers fan) will play the first three rounds with Choi and NCIS: Los Angeles star Chris O’Donnell. Rodgers reacted gleefully on Twitter.
Choi doesn’t seem quite as pumped as Rodgers is about the pairing, but he at least respects the quarterback’s game.
The Kelly-Rodgers-Choi-O’Donnell foursome will tee off at 12:17 p.m. ET on Thursday.
