Skip Bayless Claps Back in Response to Charles Barkley’s Insult

During Thursday’s TNT broadcast of The Match, Charles Barkley lobbed a not-so-subtle jab at Fox Sports 1 host Skip Bayless. The insult came as Barkley was discussing where Travis Kelce ranked among the NFL’s greatest tight ends of all time, mentioning the Chiefs star alongside Rob Gronkowski and Shannon Sharpe.

Sharpe, of course, recently left his position as co-host with Bayless on the program Undisputed. After Barkley listed Sharpe, he quipped that he wished he could have a job like Sharpe’s where he could get a contract buyout for working with an “idiot.”

A day later, Bayless took to Twitter for a public response to Barkley’s words, referring to the Basketball Hall of Famer as a “clown.”

It’s no secret that Barkley and Bayless are not fans of one another, as the pair has exchanged public barbs over the years. With this latest mini feud, it doesn’t appear as if feelings between the two popular media figures have simmered.

Barkley was his typical entertaining self during the latest version of The Match, during which Kelce and Patrick Mahomes defeated Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in Las Vegas. With the NBA in full offseason mode, we’ll have to look for other offbeat events such as these in order to get more sound bites from Barkley.
