USC Football: Trojans To Be Visited By Top Prep WR This Summer

USC is set to host four-star wide receiver from Texas.

Your USC Trojans are scheduled to host a four-star wide receiver from Texas this spring, Kaliq Lockett.

Lockett was supposed to visit USC last month but canceled his trip to Los Angeles. USC has had Lockett on their radar for some time now and made him an offer in early December 2023.

Although he resides in Texas, the junior wide receiver is quite familiar with Los Angeles. In a recent interview with Scott Schrader of WeAreSC, Lockeet shared his fondness for and familiarity with the school.

“My family is from Los Angeles and they lived right next to the campus in south central L.A.,” said Lockett. “I was always hearing them talk about L.A. when I was little. It made USC my dream school.”

The 2025 recruit stands at 6-foot-1, weighs 175 pounds, and hails from Sachse, Texas.

According to On3, he is the 52nd nationally ranked player in his class, the number seven wide receiver, and the number 10 player in his home state.

The Trojans are low on the list for chances to land the four-star receiver, as Texas, Michigan, and SMU are the top choices. However, with his ties to the school and family in Los Angeles, don't be surprised if USC can make its way up his list. If USC can make a great impression on the visit, the Trojans could be serious contenders for Lockett.

He is set to visit campus in either May or June.
