The NFL is littered with receiver talent, only growing in priority considering how vital the passing game now is to succeed in the pros.

In a recent ESPN poll, it was the USC Trojans who took the crown for the university that provided the most overall receiver talent in a controversial list.

Ranked behind USC were NFL products from Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, and Oklahoma to round out the top five universities for wideout talent.

It's a bit of a surprise considering the youth of the group mentioned for the Trojans other than Juju Smith-Schuster and, as a result, lack of production due to less time in the league.

When compared to LSU's young, established talents of Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase or former Tiger greats in Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr., ranking the Trojans ahead of this group becomes all the more surprising.

Vikings rookie Jordan Addison hasn't registered a single snap in the league just yet, though expectations are high for Caleb Williams' former top target and the Biletnikoff winner.

Alabama's case for best tandem has a lot of merit as well.

With guys such as Eagles receiver Devonta Smith, the speedy Dolphin Jaylen Waddle, Denver's Jerry Jeudy, and Jacksonville's Calvin Ridley, the competition is steep for the receiver factory crown.

Throw in Ohio State's recent talents in Seahawks first-round pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba, record breaker Michael Thomas, Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin, promising Saints youngster and Thomas' teammate in Chris Olave with Jets top target in Garrett Wilson, and you have yourself a debate.

Oklahoma boasting Giants receiver Sterling Shepard, Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb, and Arizona's Marquise "Hollywood" Brown is a fascinating inclusion on the list, but one that USC clearly beats with their collection of talent.

It's a fun way to think about some of the great pass catchers the Trojans have had in years past, but Caleb Williams and the rest of USC's current team are only looking toward the now.
