At one point this season, it looked like the Oregon Ducks were in serious jeopardy of missing the NCAA Tournament.

A third-straight trip to the NIT was likely. But Dana Altman and his squad had different plans. Despite a roster riddled with injuries and only eight healthy scholarship players, they were determined to fight.

Over the weekend, the No. 11 Oregon Ducks (23-11, 12-8 Pac-12) wrapped up a magical championship run through the final Pac-12 Tournament, knocking off UCLA, Arizona and Colorado en route to the tournament title. The champions of the final Pac-12 men's basketball tournament had overcome the odds to punch their ticket to the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Now, Oregon has drawn the No. 11 seed in the Midwest region and turns its attention to a matchup with the No. 6 South Carolina Gamecocks (26-7, 13-5 SEC). The Gamecocks defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 80-66 in their first game of the SEC Tournament before getting blown out by the Auburn Tigers 86-55. The Tigers would go on to win the 2024 SEC Tournament.

Oregon and South Carolina will clash in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday March 21 in Pittsburgh at PPG Paints Arena, home to the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins.
