After a rough start to the year, Oklahoma State got what will arguably be the best win of the entire season on Saturday night, upsetting number two Arkansas 2-1. The game went into extra innings after the Cowboys tied the score at one in the bottom of the ninth on an RBI double from second baseman Aidan Meola. The Pokes would go on to win the game on a successful suicide squeeze attempt from shortstop Lane Forsythe in the 14th inning.

As you can likely tell by the score, the pitching was phenomenal from Oklahoma State. Through 14 innings, the Cowboys allowed one run on eight hits and five walks collectively and struck out 14 batters. Brian Holiday got the most work on the mound, pitching six innings. He gave up a run on two hits and struck out six batters. Penn State transfer Tommy Molsky was credited with the win on the mound after finishing out the final two innings without allowing a run.

The bats were not nearly as dynamic as the pitching staff, but they got the job done at the end of the day. The DH Donovan LaSalle led the way offensively with two hits and a walk in four ABs. Meola's RBI double in the ninth was the only extra-base hit in the game for the Cowboys.

Oklahoma State played an excellent game on Saturday night. It's always a good night when you beat the second-ranked team in the country. They play Oregon State on Sunday in the Kubota College Baseball Series.

Notable Players:

Brian Holiday: 6.0 IP, 2 HA, 1 RA, 6 SO

Tommy Molsky: 2.0 IP, 2 HA, 3 SO

Aidan Meola: 1 H, 1 RBI
