Although a bit of a mirage, given their easy schedule to date, Buffalo (6-2) is off to its best start since 1993 when they opened with a 7-1 record. The Bills' six wins have been against terrible teams that have a combined 9-42 record. The losses were against New England (8-1) and Philadelphia (5-4).

It hasn’t worked out that way though, as Cleveland has been dreadful on both sides of the ball.

Despite their long NFL history, this is just the 21st meeting between these teams. Being as both sides are completely revamped, there isn’t much to take away from the Bills' 33-13 home win over the Browns back in 2016. Buffalo is visiting Cleveland for the first time since 2013, when they lost 37-24.

Browns vs. Bills Final Thoughts and Pick

Neither team is a powerhouse on offense, as Buffalo (19.8 PPG) and Cleveland (19.0 PPG) are both struggling to put points on the board. When we look at defense, the Bills rank third allowing 16.4 PPG while the Browns are giving up 26.6 PPG. That said, Cleveland has definitely faced the tougher schedule.

Baker Mayfield being sacked 23 times over eight games is a concern here. The Bills defense has 20 sacks on the season and they are limiting teams to 184.6 pass yards per game. That is the third best mark in the NFL. If Browns RB Nick Chubb doesn’t have a big game, this will be a long day for Cleveland.
